2 for 1

Sunday, Sept 24th.
Exercise 1/6: Karate
Time: 1:30

Monday, Sept 25th.
Exercise 2/6: Tae-Bo from my new DVD's!!!!!!
Time: 45min

Yep, my problem of being "housebound" by darkness and children is solved! It would seem that Colin had ordered the exercise DVD's that I wanted a long time ago. They arrived a couple of days ago! Thanks Mom, for shipping them over. :-)
I tried the first video out today. It was just the intro video in order to learn the proper techniques. But it was fun! And ALOT of it matches with Karate (I guess the instructer on the DVD, Billy Blanks, being a 7-time world martial arts Champion would have something to do with it...:-/) Anyhow, I am amused.

I thought those DVD's were supposed to be for your birthday!:)
What a nice man to give them to you early.

Think of all the work-outs I would miss over the next month!;-)
I have a blog to fill, you know.
(I asked for them back in August sometime...as an EARLY b-day gift...in order to solve our dilema. It just means I won't get a gift on my actual b-day.

So, would you recommend them for a newbie?

whole-heartedly!
The first video is a beginner video to show you the moves and give you tips. (He also has words for "new" moms at the end)
There is also a support website...although it looks like you have to pay a bit after the "free trial". But, if you can't get to a gym anyway, it might be worth it. I haven't been there yet...I'll let you know. ;-)

Did you get the "Bootcamp" set?

Thems the ones. Have you been reading up?

Little bit. I like the low-impact idea. Can your kids follow, too?

Mixon likes to watch the video and critique me...;-)
Selah likes doing it. She always has.(I have the old set of his videos)
It is great for teaching them coordination. Plus you can stop the DVD to help them get the hang of it and then keep going...although that doesn't help YOU get a very good work-out.;-)
